It all depends on your policy, what company you use, how much your deducticble, etc. etc.
The insurance company will pay the difference between your deductible and the cost of repairs.  What is your deductible?
Often times, however, if you make a claim on your insurance to get some money, your insurance rates will increase.  If it's only like $200 damage, it might be worth it to just bite the bullet and get it repaired yourself (without going through the insurance company)
Hope this helps!

Actually different companies has their different quotes. It all depends on your policy and the level of  damage. If it can be fix up easily and on a reasonable payment, better to fix Yourself rather than going for a claim. Hope this helps.Smile

The first thing that you need to consider in acquirng for a car insurance is to know its price quotes there you can have the idea about the cost, technical features, terms and conditions and even the insurance covered of your car insurance plan. Different car insurance companies have different insurance coverages so better have a automoble price quotes first to know your car insurance coverage. So if the damage is not really a big burden somehow fixing it by yourself can be helpful and when there's a big big trouble you can use your insurance claim. Smile

that depends on the specifics of the policy/quote as well as the year, make and model of the vehicle and your driving record.  in order to get the clear differences you should contact your insurance company.  or if you're just starting out looking for insurance, make sure you get a accurate quote from a credible insurance company that is based off accurate details of your current vehicle

Your coverage limit for collision is your car value. It is that simple.

You will have to pay your deductible which should be $250 or $500. The rest entirely covered. If the repair cost is higher than the value of your car, it is then a total loss. In this case, the insurer will give you cheque of the value of your car.

Like everyone is saying, it really depends on the insurance. Check your deductible with your insurance provider – if it was 'smashed' severely then it might be more expenisive than a basic deductible woud cover. If it's only a small dent it might not be as big as an expense – and you don't want to end up with raised rates .

What hasn't been already mentioned is whether or not this was your fault or someone else smashed into the back of you. Wink If another driver was at fault, their insurance should cover the entire cost of the damage. You'd most likely need to get a few estimates and they'll try to pay you the lowest estimate. Some insurance companies have service centers that will handle the repair itself so you won't actually get any money, just a new bumper.

It's hard to give you a more specific answer when there are details missing in the question. Cool
