Infinity Insurance – An Overview

Infinity auto insurance was created in 1950, with a special focus on insuring those who may have trouble getting insured by other companies due to a higher risk assessment. Today, the Infinity Property & Casualty Corporation is composed of seven other corporations. Atlanta Casualty Companies, Great American Personal Lines, Infinity Group, Leader Insurance Companies, Windsor Auto, Great American Contemporary Insurance Company, and Great Texas County Mutual Insurance Company make up the complete line-up of companies.

The company is listed among the top 50 property and casualty companies in the united states, and ranks second largest in companies which provide non-standard policies through independent agents. While they are licensed to provide insurance in all fifty states, the company operates on a focused approach, specifically a list of major urban areas, and the states in which they exist. Infinity has found this urban focus sufficient to allow the company a slow but continuous growth into less urban centers.

In addition to high risk drivers, the company provides insurance for classic and collectible vehicles.

The company employs 2100 people nationwide, with several thousand independent sales agents. They provide automobile coverage for all drivers, but concentrate on those which may have a few incidents or violations on their driving record, or vehicles which may otherwise be difficult to insure. In the company’s target areas of operation, concentrating on these drivers has proven to be effective in reaching those who need their services.

The companies encourages growth through employee motivation, providing a high emphasis on employee performance and interaction. The belief is that by having happy employees, the company is able to provide better service to the customers, a practice that has proven to be quite effective.
